Terms of Service

These terms cover the ApplyCandid browser extension, the website at applycandid.com, and the Pro subscription. Installing the extension or subscribing means you accept them. The service is operated by Vimal Kumar Jain, an individual seller based in India, reachable at support@applycandid.com.

1. What the product does

ApplyCandid is a browser extension that fills job-application and freelance-proposal forms from a profile you save yourself, and drafts free-text answers (cover letters, proposals, screening answers, tailored resume bullets) using an AI server you connect it to. It runs inside your own logged-in browser session. It does not ask for, store, or use your LinkedIn, Naukri, or other portal passwords.

2. Your responsibility for what gets submitted

Automated activity may conflict with the terms of service of LinkedIn, Naukri, or a given employer's career portal, and those sites may restrict or suspend accounts for it. That risk is yours. Auto-Submit is off by default and capped per day when enabled; external ATS pages are never auto-submitted. AI-drafted text is grounded in the resume you provide, but it is generated text and can be wrong — accuracy of what you send to an employer is on you, not on us.

3. Acceptable use

• Use it for your own job search, with your own resume and your own accounts.
• Do not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the extension or a Pro license key.
• Do not use it to misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or work authorization.
• Do not attempt to bypass tier limits, rate limits, or the license check, and do not attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the AI server.
• One Pro subscription covers one person. Sharing a key across people is a breach of these terms and grounds for revoking it.

4. Free and Pro

Free covers LinkedIn and Naukri Easy Apply, deterministic autofill everywhere, and AI cover letters and screening answers, with a capped number of applications per run and a daily cap on AI calls. Pro costs US$19 per month and adds AI resume tailoring, external ATS applying, and an uncapped run size.

Pro is unlocked with a license key emailed to you after purchase; you paste it into Settings → License. The subscription, not the key, is what grants access — the extension checks entitlement with the server at the start of a run, and a successful check is cached on your device for a short grace period so being offline does not revoke Pro.

5. Billing, renewal, and cancellation

Pro bills monthly in US dollars and renews automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record; Dodo is the seller of record for the transaction and handles checkout, invoicing, and any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST. Your card details never reach us.

Cancel at any time through the customer portal linked from your purchase receipt, or by emailing support@applycandid.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal; Pro keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If a renewal payment fails, the subscription moves to a payment-failed state and Pro features stop until payment succeeds. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

6. The AI server and availability

Generative features require a connection to an AI server. The one we operate is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee, and is subject to per-user daily limits that exist to keep AI costs bounded. Deterministic autofill keeps working with no server connected. We may change, limit, or discontinue features; if a change removes something material from Pro, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the current period.

7. Your data

Your resume, profile, and application history live in your own browser profile. What is sent to the AI server, why, and how long it is kept is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The extension, website, and server code remain ours. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them while your subscription (or the free tier) is in good standing. Your resume, your profile data, and the text generated for your applications are yours.

9. No guarantee of outcomes

Nothing here promises interviews, offers, or any hiring result. The product speeds up applying; it does not influence employer decisions.

10. Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, or restricted third-party accounts. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of section 3, or for chargeback abuse — in which case any remaining paid period is forfeited.

12. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have where you live. Material changes are posted here with a new "last updated" date and, for subscribers, emailed before they take effect.
